Cutlas Quilts is the dream of husband and wife team JT and Danna. An electrical engineer, JT is by nature a problem solver and doer. As a busy stay at home mom, Danna’s passion for quilting was limited by the amount of time spent prepping her quilts to be made. Often quilts would sit in the semi-cut phase for weeks or even months, waiting for her to sit down and finish the time-consuming job. As a result of seeing this struggle, the idea of Cutlas quilts was born.
As a proud active duty military family, JT and Danna live in North Dakota with their two children (6 and 4) and their hedgehog Lola. As a busy homeschooling, full-time mom, Danna appreciates the creative outlet that quilting provides and uses it to bring beauty and joy into their often busy and sometimes chaotic home. Realizing the need to simplify the quilting process for her, JT went on to develop the precision cutting laser system used in all Cutlas Quilts kits.
